How we calculate
We start from a base $/sq ft for the coating system — standard epoxy ($3–$7), heavy-duty industrial ($6–$12), polyaspartic ($5–$12) or FDA-compliant ($12–$15) — and multiply by your floor area.
If the slab needs moisture mitigation (a vapor-barrier coat under the system), we add $2–$4 per square foot, because it's a separate applied layer.
Floors over 20,000 sq ft earn a volume discount. The result is a range because slab condition, joint work and downtime windows drive the real number.

What affects the price
Coating system
Standard epoxy is the economical baseline; heavy-duty, polyaspartic and FDA-compliant systems cost more for chemical, abrasion or hygiene performance.
Moisture in the slab
Concrete with vapor transmission needs a moisture-mitigation coat first, or the system fails — that's an added $2–$4 per square foot.
Slab condition & prep
Cracks, spalls, old coatings and joints all need repair and profiling before coating; poor slabs push toward the top of the range.
Downtime & access
Warehouses and plants that must coat in phases or off-hours pay for the scheduling — a real factor at facility scale.
