Powder coating applies a dry, electrostatically charged finish to metal parts, then cures it in an oven into a hard, uniform film. It is tougher and more environmentally friendly than liquid paint — no solvents or VOCs — and gives a consistent, durable finish on components and fabrications.
The process
- Clean / pre-treat — blast, wash or phosphate so the powder bonds.
- Apply — electrostatic spray onto the grounded part.
- Cure — bake (~180–200°C) so the powder melts and flows into a continuous film.
